The Empire State lighted Endangered Species

The magnificent Empire State Building lighted endangered species yesterday night, August 1st.

As announced in Barcelona Loves New York blog, the lighting started at 9:00pm and last for 3 hours. The artists Louie Psihoyos and Travis Threlkel projected images of endangered species onto the Empire State Building. It was gorgeous!

Isn’t beautiful? Did you get to see it?

From snow leopard, a golden lion tamarin, manta rays, snakes, birds and some other mammals were displayed in the iconic New York building. Sadly, the lighting materialized in the same week that the Cecil Lion was killed by an American hunter.

Check The New York Times link to discover which endangered species were displayed and how this artistic project took to the Empire State Building.
